Mission First

The Pineville Police Department was created in the late 1930s. For several years the department was a one-man operation. As time went on, the Town’s population and business community grew, and so did the police department. By the early 1990s, there were 13, sworn officers on the Pineville Police Department. Since the 1990s, the Town of Pineville has seen continuous growth, examples include the Carolina Place Mall, McCullough Neighborhood, Amazon, and the extraterritorial jurisdiction along Lancaster Highway. To keep pace with this growth, our police force has expanded from 13 to 48 sworn officers.
